MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Reliable Tire Co. L.L.C. celebrated its 15th anniversary recently by hosting an open house for its customers, vendors, friends and family.
Reliable Tire owner Dale Pyles and his wife Anita Beth held the event at Atria's Restaurant in Morgantown, raffling off several prizes to attendees, including a weekend getaway, commercial tires and a bead blaster.
Vendors representing companies in the tri-state area who attended the event include Alcoa Wheels, American Omni Trading Co./Americus Tires, Centramatic wheel balancers, Michelin North America, Myers Industries Inc., Toyo Tire USA Corp., Vitour Tires and Oliver Rubber Co. retreading.
Mr. Pyles, with 17 years experience in the commercial tire and retread business, started Reliable Tire in 2003 with an air compressor under the front porch of his family home and a pickup truck for hauling tires. He and his wife continued to build the company, eventually moving in to a facility that serves as the shop/office/garage.
"I wanted to provide quality commercial tires at reasonable prices, with the expectation of dependable and trustworthy service," said Mr. Pyles, whose father, Roger Pyles, also was in the industry. The younger Mr. Pyles, who began in the industry shortly after graduating from high school, continues to work as a salesman and serviceman.
Mr. Pyles said his business has been successful because of how he treats his customers.
"I just treat everyone the way I want to be treated," he said.
