VERNON, British Colombia — Kal Tire is rolling out a private-brand credit card that offers flexible financing plans with 0-percent interest options for qualifying customers.

Kal Tire is partnering with Flexiti Financial Inc., a Toronto-based private-label credit card provider for retail businesses, to support the launch.

"Kal Tire is committed to forging strategic partnerships that improve the customer experience in our retail locations," Greg Waring, vice president, retail marketing, Kal Tire, said.

"Providing payment options that cater to individual preferences is critical, and we are excited to partner with Flexiti to offer a payment solution that is fast and easy for our customers to obtain and use."

Kal Tire locations can now offer a "compelling financing solution" to make their customers' purchases more affordable, the company said. The 0-percent interest option applies to purchases of $500 (Canadian) or more, according to information on the firm's web site.

For terms lasting longer than three months, administration fees ranging up to $4.95 a month may apply.

Customers can apply for Flexiti's private-label credit card online prior to visiting a Kal Tire location and receive approval within minutes, Kal Tire said, with no paperwork, scanning or mailing.

With minimal integration required into existing point-of-sale systems, Kal Tire will be able to offer financing to all of their retail customers, in-store and online.

"For over 65 years, Kal Tire has grown its loyal customer base through its commitment to customer service and integrity," Flexiti Founder and CEO Peter Kalen said.

"We…look forward to working closely with each of [Kal's] locations to deliver our award-winning private-label credit platform."
