NORCROSS, Ga. — Alloy Wheel Repair Specialists L.L.C. (AWRS) has hired a pair of auto aftermarket veterans, Jason Yarborough and Mike Perkins, to fill key management positions.

Mr. Yarbrough, a former Alloy Wheel Repair franchise owner, will assume the role as franchise relations manager, and Mike Perkins, who's worked with three tire companies, becomes director of business development.

    Both positions are new.

AWRS said their additions are key to the overall growth and success of the company, which calls itself the world's largest full-service alloy wheel repair and replacement company with 166 franchised and company-owned locations operating in 46 states throughout the U.S.

Mr. Yarbrough has been an AWRS franchise owner in Birmingham, Ala., since 2005. In his new position, he will be the bridge between AWRS corporate and franchisees with focused efforts on maintaining a transparent dialogue that nurtures a positive relationship.

Mr. Perkins joins AWRS with many years of experience in the tire industry, including his most recent position as vice president of sales for for Sentury Tire North America, the U.S. subsidiary of China's Qingdao Sentury Tire Co. Ltd.

He also has experience with Hankook Tire America Corp. and Kumho Tire U.S.A. Inc. as director of sales in the Southeast region. As director of business development, he will be tasked with generating new local and national sales initiatives that will drive revenue for both AWRS and AWRS franchisees.

Norcross-based AWRS offers a franchise program that offers a full range of mobile wheel repair services, including cosmetic refinishing, wheel straightening and custom coloring as well as off-site remanufacturing services for wheels that have severe damage or have special finishes.

The company stocks over 20,000 wheels for OEM replacement needs at its corporate warehouse.
