CYPRESS, Calif. --- Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp. plans to reward the builders of the best Toyo-equipped customized car and light truck/SUV on display at this Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show with $5,000 cash prizes.
The prizes are part of Toyo's inaugural SEMA Top Build contest. The winners will receive a Toyo Tires trophy and be featured on Toyo's social media channels in addition to the cash.
Eligible vehicles must be on display at the show, set for Oct. 30-Nov. 2 in Las Vegas, and be equipped with Toyo-brand tires.
Toyo's contest is separate from and should not be confused with SEMA's Battle of the Builders.
Vehicle owners must submit photography and/or renderings of their vehicle, along with SEMA booth location and contact information by Oct. 23. Judging will take place at the SEMA Show, and winners will be announced on or before Nov. 1.
Entries will be judged on several factors including modifications, overall execution and embodiment of the Toyo Tires brand and lifestyle image.
In addition, Toyo said its presence at this year's SEMA Show will again feature the Toyo Tires Treadpass, which encompasses the walkway that connects the Central and South Halls of the Las Vegas Convention Center.
The 14,000-sq.-ft. area will feature dozens of distinct cars and trucks on display, along with the full line of Toyo-brand products.
Toyo also will have a booth (No. 62122) at the entrance of the South Hall, featuring Ken Block's latest Gymkhana 10 vehicle and other world-class builds.
Mr. Block will sign autographs Oct. 30 from 11 a.m. to noon and Oct. 31 from 3 to 4 p.m.
