CHARLOTTE, N.C. — CEAT Specialty Tires Ltd. will showcase a range of products at the Farm and Progress Show Aug. 28-30 in Boone, Iowa, including its CEAT Farmax R85 Ag radial — a low compaction ag tire designed to offer high traction and high roadability.

The tire's flexible sidewalls, wider tread face and higher inner tire volume help reduce soil compaction and carry larger loads at lower pressures, CEAT said. Its dual lug-angle design and lug overlap contribute to the high traction and roadability characteristics.

Available in 20 sizes covering rim diameters ranging from 20 to 46 inches, the CEAT Farmax R85 is backed by a 7-year warranty and is protected against field hazard and stubble damage.

"We have a high-quality product manufactured at one of the world's most advanced Ag radial factories. This warranty will help give U.S. farmers and ranchers the confidence to give CEAT quality a try," CEAT Managing Director Vijay Gambhire said.

In addition to the Farmax R85, CEAT will display new product launches in 65 series, 70 series, row crop and flotation tires, as well as the CEAT range of bias tires.

The company, which specializes in agricultural, construction and mining tires, established its U.S. business unit in Charlotte last year. The Farm Progress Show offers the tire maker an opportunity to reach more North American customers and expand it presence throughout the U.S., Canada and Mexico.

"We have tremendous respect for North American farmers and look forward to meeting many of these hard-working folks at the Farm Progress Show," Gambhire said. "We'll be talking to farmers to understand how to serve them better."

CEAT is ranked as India's No. 4 tire maker.
