SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — Griffin Enterprises L.C., a Jiffy Lube franchisee with 55 locations in Colorado, Nevada and Utah, has become a Mighty Auto Parts franchisee covering Colorado's "Front Range."
Griffin Enterprises said the franchise — Mighty Auto Parts of the Rockies — will allow it to distribute Mighty's preventive maintenance products to its Jiffy Lube stores and provides the opportunity to generate additional profits by supplying non-affiliated B2B customers throughout the new business' exclusive territory.
Salt Lake City-based Griffin Enterprises is the ninth major Jiffy Lube franchise group to add a Mighty Auto Parts franchise, according to Mighty Distributing System of America (MDSA). The new franchise is based in Colorado Springs, Colo., and covers the central portion of Colorado and southeastern portion of Wyoming in terms of selling to non-affiliated customers.
"We are well-acquainted with many of the other eight Jiffy Lube-affiliated Mighty franchises and have been considering a similar collaboration with Mighty for a long time," Jeff Griffin, vice president of purchasing for Griffin Enterprises, said in a quote provided by MDSA.
"After meeting with them earlier this year and learning more about their impressive growth and expansion, our entire team knew the timing for a partnership was right. We are all honored to be joining the Mighty family and excited to provide exceptional products and services to the greater Denver market."
Griffin Enterprises, owned by Dave and Joye Griffin, also runs Golden Glow Auto Body & Detail, an auto-body collision repair center, and Cherry Inspect, a web-based vehicle-inspection app developer, alongside its Jiffy Lube locations in Colorado, Nevada and Utah.
"The strategic business model we have employed with these Jiffy Lube groups has proven to be a great fit," Mighty President and CEO Ken Voelke said. "The team at Griffin is enthusiastic and committed to success in the Denver market and we look forward to supporting them every step of the way."
The partners did not comment on the revenue potential for the new business.
Mighty recently brought on board its first affiliate in Mexico, Grupo Tersa.
