CONWAY, Ark. — Snap-on Inc. has introduced the John Bean V6200 wheel aligner for heavy-duty vehicles for faster and easier readings.
"The new John Bean V6200 heavy-duty aligner gives shops more options for alignment jobs as it can be used to align medium and heavy-duty trucks as well as buses, semis and mobile cranes," Adam Brown, product manager for John Bean, said.
"Easy to operate, the V6200 can be set up and display readings on a three-axle vehicle in four minutes or a truck and trailer in only nine minutes. Performing wheel alignments on heavy-duty vehicles has never been so quick and easy."
The equipment allows targets to be mounted to the floor or the wall for easier set-up times. The only devices to be mounted on the vehicle are the wheel clamps and corresponding measuring heads.
The light-weight, all-aluminum wheel clamps can be mounted inside or outside the wheel and can be used on a wide variety of wheel types, the company said. Operation also is simplified by the user-friendly interface that provides real-time adjustments.
"Shops can increase revenue by utilizing the V6200 for fast, drive-through alignment checks, cutting alignment times in half by simultaneously measuring the left and the right sides of the vehicle with a second operator," Mr. Brown said.
"Another advantage of the V6200 is that it causes no space issues because the area used to perform alignments can remain fully operational for other jobs when there is no alignment in process."
