GRAND ISLAND, Neb. — Bosselman Boss Truck Shops Inc. has struck a deal with Bridgestone Americas Inc. for Bridgestone to supply its 42 Boss Truck Shops locations with Bandag retreads.
The agreement expands an existing business relationship between the two, as the Boss Shops already are considered part of Bridgestone's Emergency Service Network and can process all Bridgestone/Bandag National Accounts, Bosselman said.
The agreement apparently also is in addition to retread supply agreements Bosselman has with Goodyear and Michelin Americas Truck Tires. Bosselman still lists both as suppliers on its website.
Randy Haines, Boss Truck Shops Service Centers director, noted that Bandag and Bridgestone have been a "valued commercial truck tire supplier" to Boss Shops for many years,
"Our fleet customers are looking for more profitable and sustainable way to operate their business. Together, Bridgestone and Bandag are helping fleets maximize their total tire program in a competitive market while also offering long-term sustainability benefits," said
Gary Nye, director of operations for Bandag, said Bridgestone/Bandag "confident that [Bosselman] will be great partners in explaining to the fleets the true benefits of retreading."
Bridgestone/Bandag operates the largest network of retread repair and service facilities in North America with more than 200 retread plants and 1,700 points of service, Bosselman said.
Among the Bandag products included in the deal are Bandag's FuelTech retreads, which Bridgestone claims outperform comparable new tires in wear performance and fuel economy.
