BARBERTON, Ohio — JohnDow Industries Inc. (JDI) has launched a line of automotive service parts packaged in plastic kits and high volume wall units, including storage cabinets designed to house the plastic assortments of small parts.
The cabinet can hold up to 12 different assortments of the most popular service parts. According to JohnDow, the compact unit is designed to help to keep parts easy to access and organized.
The assembled cabinet measures 14.5 inches wide by 13 inches deep by 46 inches high. It features adjustable drawer tabs to keep assortment boxes secure and has a heavy-duty steel construction with a durable black powder coat finish.
Robert Christy, JDI vice president of sales and marketing, said the unit leads to a more productive, profitable automotive service parts program.
"Trying to locate, source or wait for delivery of a low-cost item results in idle service bays, wasted technician time and lost profits," he said. "Without a system to keep these parts organized, easy to find and easy to reorder, service parts inventory can evolve into a collection of half-used kits, duplicated assortments, obsolete parts and wasted money."
There are 18 assortments available that cover the most popular service parts to tackle jobs involving oil, wheels, electrical, brake, fuel and auto body. The lid insert identifies each fitting with a photo of the part, size and description. Reorder part numbers, quantities and UPC codes are shown.
