HANGZHOU, China — China's Zhongce Rubber Co. Ltd. (ZC Rubber) celebrated its 60th anniversary on July 17 at its headquarters in Hangzhou in front of more than 1,000 global partners from across the world.

ZC Rubber President Shen Jinrong thanked the company's partners for their support during the six decades, and recounted the story of the how the firm grew to become China's top tire maker and 10th largest tire maker in the world, according to Tire Business' 2017 Global Tire Report.

"At the beginning, we produced rubber shoes, two-wheel tires and expanded products covering PCR, OTR, TBR, agricultural tire and industrial tires," Mr. Jinrong said. "... ZC Rubber's products are spreading worldwide now. "

Aziz Rakla, president of Rakla Tires Inc. of Mississauga, Ontario, has seen the company grow as a "quality, consistent" tire manufacturer.

ZC Rubber Vice President Ge Guorong said the company's development can be divided into three stages: Chinese market only; expanding the international markets; and globalization.

"We must change 'followup" into 'transcendence' in R&D and production," Mr. Jinrong said, "and put the Internet technology, data analysis and Cloud analysis into tire manufacturer and service market for smart production and services."

ZC Rubber announced it had signed a strategic agreement with Guo Konghui, academician of China Engineering Academy focusing on automobile research, and Jilin University which has a national laboratory specializing in technology in the automotive industry.

"Now we (can) meet the new customer demand quickly and effectively and supply thousands of SKUs, covering over 95 percent of the vehicles," Mr. Guorong said. "We also provide mobile service and smart tire systems for customers...."

ZC Rubber said it has its eyes on future. "Everything we do is for customers and satisfies customers with products, service and value," Mr. Guorong said.

Mr. Rakla said "ZC Rubber is committed to be one of the most respected tire manufacturers and push human beings to move forward."

As part of the festivities, ZC Rubber hosted a smile ride charity relay to help more Chinese children with cleft lip/palate.
