FARGO, N.D. — Branick Industries Inc. has designed a tire inflation cage geared to inflating non-highway-service tires such as lawn and garden, golf cart, scooter and other small tires.
The new design, Model 2010 Utility Tire Inflation Cage, has slotted sides and top that allow visibility to the tire while still providing protection from the small debris common with utility tire failures, Branick said.
A sloped top helps strengthen the cage and prevent items being placed on top that will become projectiles in a failure. The Model 2010 holds tires up to 16 inches wide and 20.5 inches in diameter with pressures up to 100 psi, yet requires floor space of just 20 inches by 20 inches.
Shipping weight is 40 pounds.
"Many people don't realize the danger of a utility tire failure," Branick President Tom Bolgrean said. "The Model 2010 is the only cage like it available that provides adequate protection if something goes wrong while inflating the tire."
Branick said the design is patent pending.
