Double Coin offering Americas dealers, customers incentives

MONROVIA, Calif. — Double Coin Holdings Ltd. and its CMA L.L.C. subsidiary are launching incentive programs for dealers and customers in North and Latin America handling Double Coin truck/bus, industrial and OTR tires.

The companies have created separate incentive programs for the three categories, according to Tim Phillips, vice president of marketing and operations for Double Coin, involving dealers for the OTR and industrial categories and customers for the truck/bus categories.

"We appreciate our dealer principles and owners and wanted to say thank you by offering incentive programs we believe will continue to build confidence in the quality of Double Coin tires and grow their business," Mr. Phillips said.

Dealers handling Double Coin OTR tires can earn a trip for two to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, or Costa Rica or a European cruise, based on an increased level of OTR and industrial tire purchases throughout the contest period, which runs Jan. 1 through Dec. 31.

The contest coincides with the re-emergence of Double Coin as a radial OTR and industrial tire supplier in the U.S. following an extended hiatus brought on by elevated U.S. import tariffs on selected Chinese tires, Mr. Phillips said.

In the meantime, Double Coin built a plant in Rayong, Thailand, and has now started shipping OTR and industrial tires to the U.S.

The contest is a way to re-establish business relationships with customers that CMA couldn't supply during the hiatus.

The contest incentives are: increase orders by $150,000 to qualify for a seven-day trip to Cabo San Lucas; by 300,000 for the Costa Rica trip; and by $500,000 for an eight-day European cruise.

For its truck tire customers, CMA is running an incentive program called "Put us to the Test," which is open to a "limited number" of customers willing to run selected Double Coin-brand tires over a six-month trial period. Customers that buy four tires at "special evaluation pricing" will receive four free tires in addition.

During the trial period, Double Coin sales reps will inspect the tires at installation, at month three and concluding at month six.

"We have confidence in our TBR tires and want to prove their performance and durability," Mr. Phillips said. "Combine this with our ongoing commitment to Mission Excellence, and we believe we have the tires and service that enable the customer to win every time."
