OTC's newest fuel injector and fuel pump tools are (clockwise from top left) the 6710 Fuel Pump Installation Gauge, 6706 Injector Rail Assembly Remover, 6707 Injector Seal Installer Adapters and 6708 Injector Retaining Clip Replacer.

OTC has expanded its North American product line-up with the introduction of four fuel injector and fuel pump tools designed to help technicians complete fuel system jobs more efficiently.

The new products, which are compatible with a variety of vehicles, are:

    • 6706 Injector Rail Assembly Remover, which OTC said is designed to remove the direct injection fuel rail without damage. The rail assembly must be removed as straight as possible to prevent damaging an injector bore in the cylinder head or the mount assembly and is similar to essential tool EN-49248. It can be used for work on 2007-14 General Motors direct injection engines, including those used in Pontiac, Saturn, Cadillac and Chevrolet vehicles.

    • 6707 Injector Seal Installer Adapters, a two-piece kit designed to properly size the seal and install the seals in the proper groove on the injector tip for leak-free operation and is similar to essential tool EN-51105, according to OTC. The new product works on 2014-15 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra V6 and V8 engines. It also is compatible with 2015 Chevrolet Suburban and Tahoe, GMC Yukon and XL, Cadillac Escalade and 2014 Chevrolet Corvette engines.

    • 6708 Injector Retaining Clip Replacer, designed to remove and install the injector retaining clips without over-spreading to ensure proper retention of the injector to the rail and is similar to essential tool EN-51097. OTC notes that the new injector retaining clip replacer works on 2014-15 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra V6 and V8 engines, and 2015 Chevrolet Suburban and Tahoe, GMC Yukon and XL, Cadillac Escalade and 2014 Chevrolet Corvette V8 engines.

    • 6710 Fuel Pump Installation Gauge, which verifies that the camshaft fuel pump lobe is at base circle position before installing the high-pressure fuel pump. The new tool, OTC said, also indicates the pump may be installed when it is flush to manifold surface, and is similar to EN-51092. The fuel pump installation gauge works on 2014-15 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra V6 and V8 engines, and 2015 Chevrolet Suburban and Tahoe, GMC Yukon and XL, Cadillac Escalade and 2014 Chevrolet Corvette V8 engines.

Additional information about these and other fuel injector and pump tools can be found at OTCTools.com.
