SAN ANTONIO — The Texas Tire & Automotive Association (TTAA) honored Paul Dvorak, owner of American Industrial Tire Corp., and Bob Beasley, owner of Beasley Tire Service Inc., during its annual convention, held April 13-14 at the Menger Hotel in San Antonio.

Mr. Dvorak received the association's Lifetime Achievement Award for his lifelong dedication and commitment to the tire industry and his support of the TTAA and the Tire Industry Association (TIA).

The association named Mr. Beasley as its 2018 Tire Dealer of the Year for his service to the tire industry and to the association.

Mr. Dvorak, who is retired, has been involved in the tire industry for more than 50 years, beginning his career at a Uniroyal tire store in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, after leaving military service in the mid-1960s.

In 1969, he joined BearCat Co. and moved to Dallas, where he continued his career in sales. In 1973, he founded American Industrial Tire Corp. out of his garage before moving to a small rented space and then purchasing the entire building when the owner retired.

The company sells a range of forklift, solid, skid steer, foam-filled and OTR tires for industrial/construction equipment in the Dallas area.

Mr. Dvorak has been a strong supporter of the tire industry associations, according to the TTAA, serving on the TTAA board and as president in 1991-92. He also served on the TIA board of directors.

Mr. Beasley has been active in the tire industry for 50 years, since joining his father, E.B. Beasley, in the family tire business.

Beasley Tire offers automotive, tire, and wheel services at seven locations in central and southeast Texas. The dealership also offers commercial and industrial tire sales and service.

Mr. Beasley has been active in the TTAA, presenting several programs at its conventions.
