LAKE HAVASU, Ariz. — Business partners Rick Zirges and Todd Belote are celebrating the 25th anniversary of their Big O Tires store in Lake Havasu, which Big O said has the largest physical footprint of any Big O location in the Southwestern U.S.
Mr. Zirges started at the Havasu location when it opened in 1993 as a tire technician under the store's original owner Ken Little. After working at the location for several years, he became a partner in 1999 and then in 2008 purchased the business outright together with Mr. Belote.
"The last 25 years in Havasu representing the Big O Tires brand have been amazing," Mr. Zirges said. "We would not be where we are today without the support from our community and the support from the Big O Tire organization. The commitment and dedication of our team members have enabled us to be a team customers trust in the Havasu community and we are thrilled to celebrate this milestone."
The partners expanded the location in 2014; it has 13 service bays, including one dedicated to recreational vehicles, and 34 employees, up from eight when the partners took over in 1999.
