MONTREAL — Movin'On, the Group Michelin-sponsored conference on sustainable mobility, will hold its third annual edition in Montreal June 4-6, 2019.
"The next edition of the Movin'On Summit will (have) many new features — but always the same desire to move from ambition to action for a more innovative and sustainable mobility," Michelin said.
For the third time, Michelin will organize the event in Montreal in partnership with C2 International, a global for-profit organization devoted to fostering beneficial change and developing new, sustainable services and markets.
Movin'On 2018, held May 30-June 1 in Montreal, attracted more than 5,000 participants from 60 countries, according to Michelin. Some 155 companies, universities and non-profit organizations were partners in the conference, and official representatives from 28 cities also attended.
The summit featured 45 working sessions featuring 248 experts. Forty mobility-related startup companies exhibited at Movin'On, which also featured 69 interviews with international leaders and more than 600 mobility vehicle tests at its ride-and-drive event featuring advanced-technology vehicles.
During the event, Michelin disclosed ambitious sustainability-related goals for the coming three decades, pledging to produce tires by 2048 with 80-percent recycled content and to be recovering and recycling 100 percent of its tires by then as well.
