TBC opens 8 NTB, Tire Kingdom stores in 4 states

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. — TBC Corp. has opened eight Tire Kingdom and NTB Tire & Service Center stores in four states in recent weeks and has 20 more locations targeted for new stores over the coming 11 months.

The new stores are located in North Carolina, Florida, Georgia and Maryland.

TBC said the expansion will include new NTB Tire & Service Center stores in Tennessee, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Georgia, and Tire Kingdom store locations in Florida.

"The momentum that we built throughout the past year will continue during 2018 with the continued growth of our Tire Kingdom and NTB brands," said TBC President and CEO Erik Olsen said.

"We remain dedicated to being a trusted and recognized leader in the replacement tire and automotive services industry delivering exceptional service to our customers in both new and existing markets."

The new store openings come on the heels of TBC's decision to rebrand 39 Merchant's Tire & Auto Service Center stores in Virginia to the NTB brand and are in line with expansion plans TBC announced for NTB in late November.

TBC also sold 44 NTB locations in Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota and Missouri to Big O Tires franchisee Mark Rhee last year.

The new stores bring TBC's retail network reach to roughly 740 stores in 24 states — nearly 500 NTB stores, 190 Tire Kingdoms and 47 Merchant's Tire & Auto locations.
