The pneumatic XPTSS tire was designed for demanding use and to provide outstanding machine stability.

COLOGNE, Germany — Global Rubber Industries Pvt. Ltd. (GRI) will showcase agriculture and construction tires, including two new ag tires — the RT100 Heavy Duty Bias tractor tire and the RT100 Heavy Duty bias tractor tire — at Tire Cologne, an international trade fair to be held May 29-June 1 in Cologne.

GRI said the RT100 Heavy Duty Bias tractor tire combines radial technology, tread design, strong carcass and impact ply to deliver a longer life, and offers a high resistance against wear and cuts.

The tread structure and wide footprint achieves less sinking on soft surfaces, GRI said, allowing minimum soil compaction and excellent farm productivity. The unique shape and angle of the lugs provide high traction capacity and superior self-cleaning, the company said.

The RT100 Heavy Duty bias tractor tire is specialized for on- and off-road use, and has 45-degree deep lugs and a distinctive terracing in the space between the lugs, which GRI said enhances the self-cleaning characteristics of the tire in soft soil and mud.

The tire features a tie bar design that GRI said provides better lug stability on hard surfaces, while the shallow angle at its shoulder results in better traction in the field.

GRI also will be displaying its XPTSS industrial skid-steer tire and the Liftex material-handling tire. GRI said it developed the pneumatic XPTSS tire for demanding use and to provide outstanding machine stability. The Liftex was developed for heavy duty use on forklift trucks, GRI said, and features a tread design that provides a big footprint and a unique lug pattern that offers optimal grip and traction in every condition.

Established in 2002, GRI operates two plants in Sri Lanka — one for solid tires and one for pneumatics — and distributes in more than 50 countries across the globe. It operates sales offices in the U.S., Europe and Asia. GRI's factories are certified by ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004.
