TRAVERSE CITY, Mich.— Omni United (S) Pte. Ltd. has expanded its Radar-brand truck/bus tire line in North America to 65 SKUs and is pledging to add 24 more SKUs — including a number of winter-specific fitments — before year-end.

Omni United launched the Radar truck/bus tire line at the 2017 Specialty Equipment Market Association Show in Las Vegas, saying at that time the range is being manufactured in "state-of-the-art" factories in Thailand, although the manufacturer wasn't identified.

The Radar commercial truck tire line covers sizes ranging from 16 to 24.5 inches in rim diameter with ply ratings up to 20, covering highway, regional, mixed service and on-/off-road applications. Selected sizes have the Mud and Snow (M+S) and Three Peak Mountain Snowflake (3PMSF) rating, Omni United said.

"We are thoroughly pleased with the market acceptance of the Radar tires brand," Omni United Founder and CEO GS Sareen said, noting that the addition of the Radar commercial line will allow Omni United to serve a "wider spectrum" of customers in the U.S.

Singapore-based Omni United launched the Radar brand in 2007 as a passenger and light truck offering and said it sees expanding the brand's scope into medium truck tires as a natural progression of business.

The brand is considered a Tier 4 Brand alongside the RoadLux brand.

The Radar TBR line is covered by a limited warranty against defects in workmanship and material for the first 12 months or first 2/32nds inch of original usable tread life, along with a casing allowance policy covering four to five years of life, depending on the specific tire.

The line is available now by direct-ship containers and will be available soon through Omni United's U.S. distribution network.
