EDMONTON, Alberta — Point S Canada's drive to expand across the country has moved forward with the signing of two dealerships in Alberta, Action Tire in Bow Island and Whitecourt TechNTire in Whitecourt.
The dealerships will be serviced by tire retailer/distributor North Country Tire Distributors Ltd. of Edmonton, which agreed last June to be the Point S distribution partner for Western Canada.
Action Tire is a predominantly commercial-oriented dealership run by brothers Leonard and John Wiebe, local residents who grew up farming in the area, which led them to the tire industry. Bow Island is a town of about 2,000 inhabitants located about 60 miles southeast of Calgary.
TechNTire is a full-service dealership opened by Shilo Dube in 2016 offering a mix of commercial and consumer tires along with a range of mechanical services.
Whitecourt is a town of about 10,000 located about 100 miles northwest of Edmonton.
"This great news concretely brings the theory into practice. Our Canadian expansion is quite definitely launched. Consumers will now be offered a stress-free alternative for the complete maintenance of their vehicle" said Bruno Leclair, president and CEO at Point S Canada.
Both stores will undergo their transformation to Point S signage this summer.
