SANTA ANA, Calif. — For the second straight year, Yokohama Tire Corp. (YTC) is giving a dozen youth soccer players and their chaperones the chance to visit London and watch English Premier League (EPL) team Chelsea FC compete at its home stadium, Stamford Bridge.
"The Yokohama VIP Soccer Experience with Chelsea FC" sweepstakes, open to soccer enthusiasts between ages of 13 and 18, includes the opportunity to attend a training clinic at Chelsea's Cobham Training Center as well as other amenities.
Entries can be made until June 11 through the Yokohama website at yokohamatire.com/soccer-sweeps.
Of the 12 winners, two will be chosen from online submissions, while the remaining 10 will be chosen from nominations made by parents and coaches of those participating in Yokohama-sponsored youth soccer clubs.
"We're also excited to extend this opportunity to the young players who will be wearing Yokohama on their jerseys starting next season as part of our Youth Soccer PSI Program," said Alan Holtschneider, Yokohama's director of marketing. "The PSI Program aims to recognize philanthropy, scholarship and integrity.
Yokohama Rubber Co. (YRC), the Tokyo-based parent of YTC, is the official jersey sponsor for Chelsea. YRC subsidiary, Alliance Tire, serves as the team's sleeve sponsor.
Chelsea won the EPL Championship in during the 2016-17 season.
