NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Hankook Tire America Corp. is expanding its partnership with professional race driver Rhys Millen, this time signing on as the official tire sponsor of Mr. Millen's off-road efforts in the 6100 class.
As tire sponsor, Hankook will provide Dynapro MT tires to Mr. Millen's 6100 race truck, covering five races throughout the 2019 calendar year, including the Baja 1000 and the Vegas to Reno race, which winds through 550 miles of desert between the two Nevada cities.
The 6100 race schedule comprises:
- NORRA 1000, April 20-27 — Baja, Mexico
- Baja 500, May 30-June 3 — Baja
- Las Vegas to Reno, Aug. 15-18 — Las Vegas
- Tijuana Challenge, Sept. 19-23 — Baja
- Baja 1000, Nov.14-18 — Baja
Mr. Millen, who has more than 20 years of racing experience, previously partnered with Hankook at the 2017 Broadmoor Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, where he finished first in the Time Attack 1 Class. It was just one of several successful Pikes Peak results he achieved with support from Hankook.
