WAKEFIELD, Mass. — Alliance Tire Americas Inc. will raise prices on all of its product lines and brands in the U.S. and Canada by up to 6 percent, effective May 1.
Wakefield-based ATA, the North American sales and marketing arm of the Alliance Tire Group, a subsidiary of Yokohama Rubber Co. Ltd., said the price increases reflect rising raw materials costs.
ATA last raised OTR and commercial tire prices in the U.S. and Canada in April 2017 by about 8 percent, also due to increased raw materials costs.
Alliance sells OTR tires under three brand names — Alliance, Galaxy and Primex — and distributes Aeolus- and Constellation-brand medium truck tires.
ATA's price increase takes effect one month after Yokohama Tire Corp. raised prices on its OTR tire lines by up to 6 percent.
