ST. LOUIS — Hunter Engineering Co. has launched an improved tire changer for trucks, tractors and other heavy-duty equipment, the TCX645HD.
The TCX645HD features a hydraulic shuttle for the tool arm, saving the operator time and effort when repositioning the tool arm from the front side of the rim to the back side, the company said.
It replaces the TCX640 and complements the TCX625HD, which is optimized for over-the-road truck tires, Hunter said.
The new changer also features a skidder clamp, which eases the servicing of many challenging off-road assemblies, according to Hunter, which said tractor, implement and other specialty wheel assemblies are serviced using the same tools and techniques.
An optional wireless capability is available for the mobile pedestal controls to increase safety and efficiency.
