BETHESDA, Md. — The Auto Care Association (ACA) has launched the Auto Care Hometown Summit, a grassroots advocacy initiative designed to promote engagement between auto care professionals and elected officials at the local level.
The new initiative aims to increase awareness among elected officials about the auto care industry's contributions to the U.S. economy as well as towns and communities, the ACA said in a March 29 press release.
Additionally, the organization will equip the auto care community with the resources it needs to increase industry awareness among the nation's leaders, the association said. The Hometown Summit initiative will help industry professionals identify opportunities for hometown engagement, including:
- Legislator tours of industry facilities, such as factories, distribution centers, stores and shops;
- Meetings at local district and state offices; and
- Town halls, community events and local fundraisers.
