ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Monro Inc. has hired Evan Naylor, a former Target Brands Inc. and Home Depot Inc. executive, to be its chief operating officer (COO), responsible for all aspects of the firm's store operations.
Mr. Naylor joins Monro from gas station/convenience store chain Murphy USA Inc., where he was vice president of sales and operations for 11 months. Prior to that held executive positions at Home Depot and Target for nearly 12 years and served six-plus years in the U.S. Army.
As COO, Mr. Naylor's duties will include executing store-related initiatives and strategic business transformation.
Monro noted this his work experience covers the development and implementation of "enterprise-wide strategies at the corporate and field level, across large national retailers and in the U.S. Army."
Monro President and CEO Brett Ponton said Mr. Naylor's experience and "track record of driving positive change, efficiency and growth to large organizations make him the ideal candidate for this important position."
Mr. Naylor said he's looking forward to "working with senior management to realize their compelling vision for Monro's future."
