FRANKLIN, Tenn. — Carlstar Group L.L.C.'s ITP brand has developed an off-road tire for high-horsepower UTV vehicles and side-by-sides it's calling the Coyote.
The 8-ply-rated, 32-inch outside diameter radial tire is compliant with Department of Transportation testing standards, Carlstar said, and was designed with the help of professional racers.
"The Coyote tire is the latest product innovation from ITP's engineering experts and comes packed with the technology, construction and performance features the brand is known for," ITP Sales Director Rhett Turpin said.
The Coyote also will be featured on the recently released Polaris RZR XP Turbo S vehicle, Mr. Turpin said, "further proving that ITP leads the way when it comes to exceeding the needs of everyday riders to professional racers."
The tire, built at a Carlstar plant in Tennessee, has staggered shoulder lugs and a corner shoulder design that produces "unmatched" traction on hard-pack, gravel and sandy terrain, ITP said, and features a sidewall formulated for improved puncture protection and side bite.
The tire's footprint delivers predictable lateral stability, "surgical" steering response and roll-over protection, ITP said.
ITP sought the expertise of #TeamITP racers Jason and Derek Murray during the tire's development.
The tire is available in one size — 32x10.00R15NHS — and carries a manufacturers' suggested retail price of $226.
