ROME — Trelleborg Wheel Systems S.p.A. plans to raise prices April 1 on its range of agricultural and industrial tires by up to 10 percent in North America and 4 to 5 percent elsewhere.
The tire and wheel supplier cited "significant inflationary costs" as well as price increases on some raw materials as the main reasons behind the price hikes
The increase will affect the entire Trelleborg Wheel Systems product range.
This is the fourth price increase Trelleborg has announced in the past 12 months on its on its agricultural, forestry, industrial and construction pneumatic tires.
Last year it raised prices Sept. 1 up to 8 percent in North America; on May 1 by an average of 7 percent; and on March 1 on farm/forestry tires by up to 8 percent.
In each case the company cited increasing prices of raw materials.
