RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif.—Sumitomo Rubber North America Inc.'s Falken brand is supporting two drivers in the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series this year.
Drivers Jonathan Brenthel and Cole Mamer both will race with Falken's Wildpeak M/T tires. Mr. Brenthel will drive a vehicle that is part of Brenthel Industries off-road team, a long-time partner to Falken Tires, in the Pro-Lite class.
Mr. Mamer, of Mamer Motorsports, also will race in the Pro-Lite class.
Both teams will carry Falken's blue and teal livery on their vehicles.
Brandon Barberena, Falken Tires' supervisor, light truck and off-road events, said the company is excited to back these drivers. "Having Jonathan Brenthel and Cole Mamer running in the Pro-Lite series will be an important part of Falken's off-road program for this year, and we're looking forward to supporting them and seeing them race."
The short course, Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series features eight events on the West Coast, from March to October. Pro-Lite is one of four professional classes in the circuit.
The first race will be held April 14 at Chandler, Ariz. The race that was set for March 17 at Glen Helen Raceway in San Bernardino, Calif., has been postponed because of expected inclement weather. It has been rescheduled for Sept. 21.
