SAN FRANCISCO — Auto service and repair search website RepairPal Inc. has promoted Jill Trotta to senior director of sales and industry advocacy.
Ms. Trotta, who joined RepairPal in 2013, is an ASE Certified Technician with more than 25 years' experience in the automotive field. She was the recipient of the Auto Care 2017 Woman of Excellence Award by the Women in Auto Care Association for providing "outstanding contributions" to the auto care industry.
Since joining RepairPal five years ago, Ms. Trotta has been responsible for the team that evaluated thousands of independent repair shops in search of the most technically qualified and customer-focused shops in the country for the RepairPal Certified Network.
In addition, she advised many shops on how to improve their business practices so they later could achieve RepairPal Certification.
Ms. Trotta is one of three women on the company's executive team. The others are Jennifer Steeves-Kiss, chief product and marketing officer, and Kathleen Long, vice president and general manager of RepairPal's Shop Network.
"The tide is starting to turn," she said. "Women are gaining ground and being put into leadership positions. We are more visible and active than ever — poised to lead the industry into the future."
