COMPTON, Calif. — Off-road performance specialist 4 Wheel Parts is opening retail stores in Illinois, Pennsylvania and Texas this month, expanding its store network to 87 locations in the U.S. and Canada.
The new stores are located in South Elgin, Ill., Carlisle, Pa., and Beaumont, Texas, with grand-opening events for all three scheduled for Feb. 17, according to 4 Wheel Parts, which said more store openings are imminent in these states and elsewhere.
The Carlisle location, adjacent to the firm's Northeast distribution center, is the first of a number of stores projected to open in the region and be supported by the 205,000-sq.-ft. warehouse/distribution facility that opened in January, the Compton-based subsidiary of Polaris Industries Inc. said.
