FORT MILL, S.C. — Greg Biffle, a 19-time winner in NASCAR Cup competition, has joined General Tire's Team GT as a social media correspondent promoting the brand's "Anywhere Is Possible" theme.

Mr. Biffle, who stepped away from competition in 2017, will tackle on- and off-road adventures on behalf of General Tire throughout the year, and his activities will be documented in real-time on General Tire's social channels.

"Greg's voice will provide a change of pace in the channels," Travis Roffler, General's director of marketing, said. "His perspective will be a great third-party approach and will allow us to earn new followers, increase our awareness, and of course, generate tons of content."

Fans will be able to interact with Mr. Biffle on his excursions by using #Biffle on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.

Mr. Biffle's first role as a member of Team GT will be in New Orleans, where he will take part in the launch of the G-MAX RS and the Grabber A/TX lines to the General brand portfolio. He'll participate alongside the media members there to cover the event, testing the new product line on a variety of vehicles while providing behind-the-scenes access.

Mr. Biffle, champion of NASCAR's truck and Xfinity series in 2000 and 2002, respectively, and one of only a handful of drivers to win races in all three of NASCAR's top classes, joins a team of a dozen other "names" from the racing and outdoor sports worlds.

Others on the team include off-road racers CJ Hutchins, Jim Beaver, Jim Riley, Jerry and Jason Campbell and Ryan Beat; professional fishers Jeff Proctor, Skeet Reese, Edwin Evers, Mark Rose, Ott Defoe, John Crews and Britt Myers; and Pro Pulling League's Stan Shelton.
