ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich. — TireStamp Inc. has launched a Savings Dashboard that the company said provides commercial truck and bus fleets with the savings they are achieving with the TireVigil Cloud tire-monitoring and management solution based on their tire-maintenance performance data and costs.
According to TireStamp, the dashboard complements the existing Maintenance Dashboard that summarizes a fleet's tire-maintenance performance based on real-time metrics generated from data accumulated from each vehicle equipped with TireVigil Cloud system.
The Savings Dashboard provides a snapshot of a fleet's key tire cost metrics, the annual and current month savings generated by vehicles equipped with TireVigil Cloud and the projected savings attainable by using TireVigil throughout the entire fleet.
Results are calculated daily using TireVigil Cloud's algorithms and analytics based on each fleet's actual tire data, TireStamp said. It uses industry-accepted calculations made available through the North American Council for Freight Efficiency (NACFE) 2013 Report on tire-pressure-monitoring systems.
The dashboard shows the different areas where savings are being achieved and is broken down by labor, breakdowns, fuel consumption, treadwear and operations. A bar chart illustrates the number of prevented breakdowns on TireVigil-monitored vehicles and how many breakdowns could be prevented on vehicles with the system.
A vehicle-alert listing displays vehicles with tire alerts in order of service priority, based on the time remaining before a tire reaches a critical level that jeopardizes its health.
A map shows where these vehicles are and their current alert status.
TireStamp President Peggy Fisher said the dashboard "is a tool that operations, maintenance and upper management can use to prevent disruptions in operations, improve tire maintenance and positively impact the bottom line."
