WASHINGTON — The Automotive Service Association (ASA) is urging its members in New Hampshire and West Virginia to oppose legislation in their states that would either repeal or weaken periodic state vehicle safety inspection rules in those states.
West Virginia Senate Bill 90 would repeal the state's safety inspection law, and New Hampshire House Bill 1328 would change the state's annual inspection requirement to biennial, the ACA said.
This is the third inspection bill so far in 2018 that the ASA has asked its members to oppose. The first was Missouri House Bill 1444, which would repeal Missouri's safety inspection program.
