BOWIE, Md. — The Tire Industry Association (TIA) has scheduled seven dates for its Commercial Tire Service (CTS) Instructor 400 training tour throughout 2018.
The CTS training will take place in:
• Denver — March 13-16, May 1-4 and Oct. 2-5.
• Baltimore — April 17-20, Aug. 7-10 and Nov. 13-16.
• Dallas —Dec. 4-7.
The Certified CTS program covers all aspects of commercial tire service, including Occupational Safety and Health Administration standards, mounting/demounting, wheel installation and torque, road service, balance and repair, according to TIA.
The four-day CTS Instructor 400 courses will teach all students how to instruct a 300-Level Certified Technician course in the field, the association said. Students in the course will physically mount and demount a tire, as well as installing and removing a wheel assembly from a truck using impact and torque wrenches, it said.
