"With the Red Wings move to Little Caesars Arena in downtown Detroit this season, we are very excited to begin this partnership," said Nick Fousekis, Falken's director of advertising and promotions.
"Detroit is an incredible sports town, and Falken Tires is very fortunate to work with the historic Red Wings franchise."
The arena serves as the cornerstone to the $1.2-plus billion, 50-block sports and entertainment development dubbed The District Detroit, which was designed to create an atmosphere where sports fans and concert-goers could enjoy time before and after the events.
The Red Wings, one of the Original Six franchises, joined the NHL in 1926 and have since won 11 Stanley Cups — third most in NHL history behind the Montreal Canadiens (23) and Toronto Maple Leafs (13).
