BROOKSVILLE, Fla. — ESCO (Equipment Supply Co.) has struck an exclusive deal to make and distribute Ochoa Roadrunner Products Inc.'s line of Pneu-tek tire mounting and demounting tools and accessories for the tire service market.

The agreement gives ESCO full and acting interest in the market for tools such as the Universal Demount Tool, Tyr-X Demounting System, Pneumatic Bead Breaker and other patented tools of Sandy and Justin Ochoa of Ochoa Roadrunner Products, the company said.

Sandy Ochoa has been involved in designing tire/wheel service tools since the late 1980s with the invention of the Cheetah tire-bead seating tank, ESCO said.

Since then the Ochoas have developed more than 16 patented tools focused on tire/wheel servicing and have partnered with ESCO since late 2009.

Brooksville-based ESCO produces and distributes hydraulic tire changing tools and accessories for the commercial truck, OTR, mining, automotive and agricultural markets.

"We chose ESCO back in 2010 to launch our line of tire tools because their line of products fit in with ours so well," said Felicity Ochoa/Lueras, sales manager at Ochoa Roadrunner Products. "[The] whole line works in conjunction with each other to accomplish making the worst tire and wheel combinations easier to change, as well as safer."

ESCO released the Pneu-tek line fully pneumatic tire-demounting tools as part of the ESCO offering in late 2010.

"We felt that these tools were and still are going to be the future of tire demounting and mounting. To be able to use technologies that make the job faster, easier and safer is what we stand for as an organization. These tools, as well as many other products in the ESCO line, provide solutions for everyday problems in the tire/wheel market…," said Christopher Manfre, ESCO director of marketing.

"We are very excited to provide these tools to the market and sustain the demand that we have grown to have over the past year…," said ESCO President Steve Dyer. "We feel our longevity in the tire/wheel service equipment market adds additional value and credibility that our customers worldwide have trusted in since the mid-1980s."

ESCO said it anticipates relaunching the Pneu-Tek line by the end of the first quarter with new packaging and marketing materials/educational videos.
