WASHINGTON — The Council of Manufacturing Associations (CMA) has elected Anne Forristall Luke, president and CEO of the U.S. Tire Manufacturers Association (USTMA), to its board of directors.
Composed of more than 260 industry-specific manufacturing associations, the CMA is a vital arm of the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM), the USTMA said. The CMA's mission is to improve the competitiveness of U.S. manufacturers, it said.
CMA members work with the NAM to unite the manufacturing community, and ultimately the broader business community, around strategies for increased manufacturing job creation, investment and innovation in America, it said.
Ms. Luke said she was honored to have the opportunity to aid the mission of the CMA.
"Collectively, we can work to further the economic competitiveness of our nation and deliver job opportunities to communities throughout the country," she said.
