EVANSVILLE, Ind. — Vehicle component supplier Accuride Corp. is expanding its distribution network early in 2018 by phasing in five North American distribution centers that will augment its primary distribution facility in Batavia, Ill.
The move, Accuride said, "provides targeted customer coverage in key regional markets" and provides it customers with access to its full range of products, including Accuride wheels and KIC- and Gunite-brand wheel-end components.
Accuride said its May acquisition of KIC L.L.C. has strengthened its distribution network. The company also recently completed an in-depth analysis of the combined customer ship-to locations, purchasing patterns, product stocking requirements and lane optimization, which should help to increase the efficiency of service to North America-based customers.
"Combining the complimentary product and technology offerings of Accuride, KIC and Gunite this year enables us to provide customers a greater range of solutions than ever before," Accuride President and CEO Rick Dauch said.
"With our expanded distribution network, our products will be available when and where customers need them, on shorter, competitive lead times for our most popular, in-demand products."
Based in Evansville, Accuride serves the commercial vehicle market with wheels and wheel-end components and assemblies. Its brands include Accuride, Accuride Wheel End Solutions, KIC, Gunite and Gianetti Ruote.
