Jeep offers the 2018 Wrangler in both 2- and 4-door versions.

LOS ANGELES — The newly designed 2018 Jeep Wrangler will roll on BFGoodrich All Terrain T/A KO2 and Goodyear Wrangler AT Adventure tires when it hits dealers' showrooms early next year.

Jeep, a Fiat Chrysler Automobiles brand, is offering the 2018 Wrangler in three different 2-door model configurations — Sport, Sport S and Rubicon — and four four different 4-door configurations — Sport, Sport S, Sahara and Rubicon.

The vehicle comes with one of three powertrain options: a 2-liter turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine; a 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine with Engine Stop-Start (ESS); and a 3-liter EcoDiesel V-6 with ESS (coming in 2019) — and either a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmission.

The new Wrangler, launched at the recent Los Angeles Auto Show, is available with five P-metric sizes — P225/75R16, P245/75R16, P245/75R17, P255/75R17 and P255/70R18 — and two load-range C light truck sizes — LT255/75R17C and LT265/70R17C — depending on model and trim level.

Jeep also offers nine wheel designs.

Goodyear describes the Wrangler AT Adventure with Kevlar as its best tire for versatility on and off road. The tire features DuPont Kevlar aramid fiber in the sidewalls for added strength.

Goodyear's relationship with the Jeep brand dates to 1941 and the Willys Quad prototype, the tire maker said.

"Working closely with automobile manufacturers to deliver innovative products for leading vehicles like this is a key component of Goodyear's strategy," Johann Finkelmeier, vice president of North America OE, said.

Goodyear also supplies Jeep with multiple tire sizes for the Grand Cherokee.
