SOUTHFIELD, Mich. — Icahn Automotive Group L.L.C. has acquired BS&F Auto Parts, an auto parts supplier in the New York metropolitan area, and named the business' owner Joe Ferrer regional vice president of commercial for Icahn in the region.
Family-owned BS&F services customers throughout the metro area from a 10,000-sq-ft. warehouse in The Bronx. The business was founded by Mr. Ferrer's father Nick Ferrer in 1980.
Icahn Automotive said Mr. Ferrer's "unsurpassed drive and passion" in customer service and parts availability will create an excellent opportunity for Pep Boys, Auto Plus and BS&F to drive commercial growth in the region.
Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
Mr. Ferrer was the subject a few years back of "Hard Parts: South Bronx," a reality show available on Amazon Prime that highlighted his resolve that customer satisfaction is paramount at all times.
Icahn Automotive has four other auto parts distribution centers in the New York metro, Auto Plus locations in Staten Island, Woodside and Yonkers, N.Y.
