AKRON — Myers Industries Inc. has hired Chris DuPaul, a CVS Health executive, to take over as group president of its distribution segment, which includes Myers Tire Supply and Patch Rubber Co.
Mr. DuPaul replaces Alex Williamson, who is leaving the company after three years to pursue other opportunities, Myers said. He was named group president in 2016.
Myers President and CEO Dave Banyard lauded Mr. DuPaul for his "strong track record of delivering growth and performance improvement in a diverse group of end markets.
"His experience in strategy development and execution will enable us to accelerate the sales transformation project that we've been undertaking in the distribution segment," he added.
Mr. DuPaul joined CVS Health in 2008 and held various senior leadership roles during his time there. Most recently he was corporate vice president, Pharmacy Services, where he was responsible for developing and executing growth strategies within CVS/Pharmacy.
Prior to that he was a consultant for Monitor Group for four years and was a product manager with SNL Financial for two years. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia and the Darden Graduate School of Business at that same university.
Myers' Distribution Segment represents about 28 percent of Myers Industries sales revenue.
For the nine months ended Sept. 30, the segment reported operating income of $7.7 million on sales of $117.8 million, declines of 21 and 8.1 percent, respectively, from the comparable 2016 period.
