DEARBORN, Mich. — Rick Dauch, president and CEO of Accuride Corp., was elected as the 38th chairman of the Heavy Duty Business Forum (HDBF), a leadership group within the Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association (HDMA).
HDBF held its annual election recently after its 80th bi-annual meeting, which was held in Dearborn. HDMA is a commercial vehicle supplier division of the Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association (MEMA).
Mr. Dauch, who has been president of Accuride since February 2011, succeeds Stephen Mance, president and CEO of Defiance Metal Products Inc.
Mr. Dauch, an officer of the company and member of its board of directors, previously was president and CEO of Acument Global Technologies Inc. and held varied senior executive roles with American Axle and Manufacturing Inc.
Kent Jones, vice president, global business development and sales for ZF Friedrichshafen A.G., was named vice chairman. Others elected to its board of governors include:
David Arndt, president and CEO, Pentaflex Inc.; John Fox, corporate vice president of Global Channel Strategies, Parker Hannifin Corp.; Timothy Guzman, senior sales director, Power Sector, Freudenberg & Co. K.G., North America; Merrick Murphy, president, Arconic, Commercial Wheels and Transportation; Jeff Porter, president and CEO, Velvac Inc.; and Eddie Wilkinson, president, Bendix Spicer Foundation Brake L.L.C.
The HDBF board of governors and members are nominated and voted upon by the 55 elected members.
The HDBF focuses on trends and developments in the market, and meetings are conducted under HDBF bylaws, which are enforced by the board of governors.
