BREA, Calif. — TSW Alloy Wheels has acquired GoodRoads Auto Systems, a Florida-based wheel and tire distributor that features as many as 20 proprietary wheel brands.

The deal includes GoodRoads' Fort Lauderdale distribution facility, which will complement TSW's existing D/Cs in Dallas, Atlanta and Brea, and provide it with the ability to reach customers nearly nationwide within 48 hours with standard ground shipping methods.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

In addition, TSW said it is planning to open a fifth D/C, in the Chicago area, in the coming months.

GoodRoads Auto Systems, founded by the Ruff family in 1982, has built a reputation in the Southeast by providing high quality products along with top tier service, TSW said.

The company has 80,000 wheels in stock in sizes ranging from 13 to 32 inches rim diameter, along with 18 knowledgeable sales associates. TSW will be able to offer 24-hour delivery to customers throughout Florida from the Fort Lauderdale location.

Among the brands Good Roads carries are: Asanti, Beyern, Black Rhino, Concept One, Klutch, Hostile, Redbourne, Ruff Racing, Status Alloy, TSW, TUFF A/T, XXR, XO, etc. .

It also operates a 70,000-sq-.ft. warehouse with thousands of tires in stock, including Toyo, Lexani, Pirelli and Delinte brands.

TSW — originally Tiger Sports Wheels — was founded in the 1960s in South Africa by one-time Formula 1 racer Eddie Keizan. It went public in the 1980s and expanded in the following years through a series of acquisitions and the establishment of manufacturing in Germany, Poland and the U.S.

In 2001 the TSW aftermarket wheels operations were split off from the OE wheel production, and TSW in the U.S. started to overhaul and expand the product line, launching nine brands since then.
