JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Meineke Car Care Centers L.L.C. is conducting a "round it up" campaign to help the Wounded Warrior Project as part of the franchisor's 45th anniversary celebration.

Meineke franchisees will be encouraging their customers to round their bills up to the nearest dollar, and Meineke will donate the overage to WWP, a non-profit that funds programs and services to assist injured veterans with mental health, physical health and wellness, career and benefits counseling.

"Meineke has a long history of supporting active-duty military members and veterans with special services, offers, and restored vehicles as a thank you for their service," said Meineke President Danny Rivera.

"Through this campaign," he said, "we, along with our customers, are able to help raise funds for those in need of medical treatment, counseling, housing, and other needs."

The program will be offered at Meineke's 225 franchised locations throughout the U.S. The campaign started Oct. 14 and runs through Nov. 24.

Gary Corless, WWP chief development officer, said Meineke's support "will not only provide a practical service to millions of American veterans, but it will allow Wounded Warrior Project to continue to provide the wounded veterans we serve with programs and services that empower them to live their lives to the fullest."

In addition, participating Meineke franchisees are offering veterans and active-duty military members a free oil change on Nov. 11. For participating locations, visit Meineke.com.

The franchisor, part of Driven Brands Inc., also is participating together with its sister Maaco franchise program in a "Proud to Serve 45" sweepstakes for U.S. service veterans that will award one winner a Maaco car paint, dent and collision repair gift certificate valued up to $1,000 and four other winners oil change packages at Meineke valued at $250 each.
