LAS VEGAS — Michelin North America Inc. has awarded scholarships totaling $6,250 to a trio of high school students who have parents working at Tire Industry Association (TIA) member companies.
Michelin has awarded scholarships valued at over $256,000 to 55 individuals who have ties to TIA member companies for the past 18 years. The scholarships are to be used at accredited two-year, four-year, technical or vocational schools, Michelin said.
The recipients may renew the scholarship for up to three additional years.
The latest winners were recognized during TIA's Awards Ceremony on Oct. 30 at Paris Las Vegas Hotel.
The students — Taylor Kosar of Centreville, Md., Julyssa Rocha of Gothenburg, Neb., and Mariah Weiss of Durand, Wis. — were selected based on their academic and extracurricular achievements.
