LAS VEGAS — Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp.'s presence at this year's Specialty Equipment Market Association Show in Las Vegas will include 30-plus one-of-a-kind custom cars and trucks at two separate open-air exhibit spaces.
Most of the vehicles will be part of Toyo's "Treadpass" exhibit space spanning the walkway between the Central and South Halls of the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC), Toyo said.
In addition, Toyo will have a trio of custom cars making their world debuts at a space close to the main entrance of the South Hall, where it also will host autograph sessions with Ken Block — the rally driver and star of the Gymkhana and Climbkhana video series — on Oct. 31 and Nov. 1.
Mr. Block, whose Gymkhana series of tire-smoking, extreme driving videos have made him a viral video star, signed a multi-year partnership with Toyo in 2016.
Among the cars to be displayed at this space will be a "stealth-inspired" 2014 BMW X5 sDrive 35i M Sport constructed by Brian Garin of Infinite Auto Design in Huntington Beach, Calif., running on 22-inch Toyo Proxes ST III tires.
Mr. Block will sign autographs between 3 and 4 p.m. on Oct. 31, and 2 and 3 p.m. on Nov. 1.
Toyo has posted a series of videos on YouTube showing some of the builds.
Toyo's Nitto Tire U.S.A. Inc. affiliated company is an exhibitor as well, in the LVCC's South Hall.
