HANOVER, Germany — Industrial and OTR tire maker Global Rubber Industries Pvt. Ltd. (GRI) will introduce its latest range of specialty argricultural tires at Agritechnica, a trade fair in Hanover for agricultural machinery to be held Nov. 12-18.
Sri Lanka's GRI is introducing its Greenex cross-ply ag line and its GreenXLR radial ag line, covering rim diamaters ranging from 22.5 to 50 inches.
GRI said the tires use a technology called the heat-dissipating notch, which the company said delivers a long run time, better fuel efficiency and increased durability.
In addition, mud breakers prevent mud from sticking to the tire while the salient tread design channels dirt out of the tire, maintains the tire weight and also provides improved fuel efficiency.
According to GRI, these ag tires offer a range of tread patterns, feature high load carrying capacity at low inflation pressure, reduced soil compaction, exceptional traction, cut resistance and flexible sidewalls. In addition, lug angles are optimized for dual effective usage, both on the field and road.
Thee tires will be manufactured in GRI's state-of-the-art factory in Sri Lanka, dedicated to specialty tires.
"I was born and raised in Sri Lanka, an island known for its rich agricultural history dating back more than 2,500 years," said GRI Managing Director Prabhash Subasinghe, who said he began his career with his family's ag business.
"It is with this passion and sincerity that I wish to uplift the farmers all over the world, by supplying them with tires that deliver exceptional value and an assured performance."
Mr. Subasinghe said the new factory is equipped with the latest machinery and the most innovative technology to produce high quality tires.
"We have further taken on the social responsibility of using the benefits of solar panels, biomass boilers and waste management systems focused on protecting our environment for the next generation," he said.
