    MADISON, Tenn. — Marangoni Tread North America Inc. has added three experienced executives to its business and sales team to help the firm keep pace with increasing demand for its portfolio of retread products and services.

    The new hires are:

    • Clif Armstrong, vice president, new business development;
    • Michael Aguon, regional sales manager; and
    • Phil McDonald, regional sales manager, northeast.

    Mr. Armstrong brings extensive tire industry experience to his new job, which involves developing strategies to help increase market strength, market share and customer satisfaction. His background includes work with Pirelli Industrial, Continental Tire the Americas and Yokohama Tire Corp.

    Mr. Aguon has more than 25 years of experience with a number of companies, including Bridgestone Americas, Alliance Tire Group, BKT Tires and Contract Freighters Inc. He started his career at Bridgestone, where he held several executive and engineering positions in the OTR tire field.

    Mr. McDonald brings 30-plus years of experience, including time with Goodyear, OTR Wheel Engineering and Hankook Tire America Corp., which included management in commercial new tire sales, retreading, distribution and national accounts.

    Marangoni Tread President Bill Sweatman noted that, "As we continue to grow, so will our organization so that we never lose sight of our main goal to provide the best in class products, programs, information and support to all of our current and future customers."

    Marangoni Tread North America, a unit of Italy's Marangoni S.p.A., distributes its Ringtread spliceless and Unitread conventional tread rubber products through a network of licensed independent tire dealers and retreaders throughout the U.S. and Canada.
