HIGHLAND, Utah — Burt Brothers Tire & Service has opened its 10th store, a remodeled 10-bay location in Highland, and has plans to add an 11th location next year.
The newest store formerly was occupied by Lone Peak Tire & Auto Repair. Burt Brothers acquired the business and property Oct. 1 and renovated it with a new roof, paint, lighting, landscaping and windows.
"When we started this business over 25 years ago, we dreamed of growing and supporting the community like this," co-founder Wendel Burt said. "We love the state of Utah, and we are proud to offer the best in service and professionalism to its residents."
The family-owned dealership is staffing the new location with team members from the surrounding stores. Staffing is at 15, with more hiring on tap. The remodeling included upgrading the shop's equipment and waiting area to include Internet access and other comforts.
Highland is a city of nearly 16,000, located about 30 miles south of Salt Lake City.
This is the third new store the dealership has opened in the past couple of years.
Brothers Wendel and Ron Burt founded Burt Brothers in 1991. The company offers bumper-to-bumper automotive services and a wide selection of tires.
